I am a fan of Michael D. Beil's fun, contemporary Red Blazer Girls mystery books. If there is a young reader about age 10+, these 3 books would make a super summer read. First there was The Ring of Rocamadour and then there was the Vanishing Violin. Next month we get...
The Mistaken Masterpiece!
And they are on Facebook, but they, like, need more friends!

I can't wait for the third one, and I hope there continue to be a lot more to come!
Me, too. I was surprised at how darn funny they are. I love the 4 main girl characters, but I really love that they are great friends to each other.
I love these books too! Who knew they would be so interesting, funny, and mysterious!
I love that they aren't just mysteries - there are puzzles that the reader can figure out with paper and pen. Really well done.
Does anyone know any more books like the Red Blazer Girls?? I really like them, but I would like more, more!! Non-murder mysteries with lots of puzzles to solve!!! Thanks!!!
Hi, Sarlacue!
You might like The Puzzling World of Winston Breen by Eric Berlin (there are 2 so far). Also check out The Gollywomper Games by Jody Feldman.
BUT one of my favorites is ENOLA HOLMES by Nancy Springer. I think there are 5 books in this series about Sherlock's little sister.
Enjoy. (and I still haven't read Mistaken Masterpiece. gah!)
